PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Director of IT supports the Food Bank’s mission and vision through leadership and management of information technology resources in alignment with organizational priorities. This position provides strategic and tactical oversight of IT infrastructure and applications, and contributes to strategic planning, budgeting and business continuity efforts.

Education/Certifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced understanding of IT architecture, systems integration, networking, security, compliance, and design principles
- Ability to develop and translate IT strategic vision into executable roadmap; design and implement change management strategies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP and SIEM/EDR systems
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster business relationships, both internal and external
- Ability to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans and other risk mitigation strategies
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Service-oriented mindset with exceptional collaboration skills able to effectively work across all organizational levels
- Current knowledge of emerging technologies and IT best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Microsoft 365 / Azure / Entra / Intune / Defender / Teams / AD (hybrid)
- Hosted VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android
- Cisco Meraki firewalls, switching, and wireless
- VLANS, IPSEC/L2TP, Mesh WAN technologies
- eSentire SOC Management, Crowdstrike, Sumologic
- Backup and recovery solutions, SAN technologies
- Five years in senior IT management with ten years of progressive IT experience
- Five years managing IT teams
- Three years managing outsourced providers for Tier-1 to Tier-3 IT support, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity services
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Ceres ERP, Raiser’s Edge CRM preferred
- Non-profit, logistics, warehousing, and/or distribution experience a plus
- Manage day-to-day IT operations and lead project implementations and upgrades
- Monitor and assess IT service levels provided by outsourced Help Desk and SOC.
- Safeguard organizational data by ensuring security protocols are established, maintained and enforced
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, and workstations
- Lead vendor assessments, proof-of-concept initiatives, and integration strategies for new tools and systems
- Drive continuous improvement in IT service provision, including but not limited to, application consolidation and cost-efficiency measures
- Evaluate emerging trends in technologies and services as they emerge, recommending changes to NTFB’s processes, systems and practices
- Build and maintain vendor relationships; manage procurement of hardware, software and IT services
- Collaborate with Feeding America and agency partners on integration projects
- Serve as strategic partner to departmental leaders and staff; ensure users receive professional, courteous, and timely support
- Develop, facilitate and deliver user training as needed
- Prepare and execute an annual IT business plan and associated budget
- Lead NTFB’s digital transformation in collaboration with internal teams to drive efficiencies and support internal initiatives
- Ensure IT policies, procedures and training are documented, reviewed regularly, and followed for effective and secure operations
- Partner with other food banks, hunger, and disaster relief organizations to share and leverage best practices
- Foster a culture of high performance, customer service, accountability, action-orientation, quality, and excellence in support of internal teams, agency partners and clients
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
- Lead a team of three direct reports or more and manage outsourced service providers
- Hiring, training, coaching and development of technical team members
- The person in this position needs to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors, such as customer service complaints, compliance offenses, and competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the unit.
- Must be able to effectively interpret data and make critical decisions that will have a significant impact on the team and organization.

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
