Job Description:

In the role of Estimator, you will play a key part in bringing our construction projects to life by developing accurate, detailed cost projections. You’ll work closely with our project managers, trade partners, and vendors to ensure every scope is clearly defined, competitively priced, and aligned with our construction standards.

Your primary focus will be analyzing drawings and specifications, preparing takeoffs, and building comprehensive budgets that support timely and cost-effective homes. This role is essential to our planning and purchasing efforts and calls for someone who is analytical, organized, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans, scopes, and specs to develop precise cost estimates.
  • Partner with project managers and teams to clarify scopes, align budgets, and support build schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate construction conditions and gather essential data.
  • Prepare detailed takeoffs and budget breakdowns using industry-standard estimating tools.
  • Support purchasing and contract efforts through bid analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor project costs, maintain historical data, and contribute to value engineering discussions.
  • Stay current on industry trends, material pricing, and code/regulatory changes.


Qualifications

  • Experience as a Construction Estimator in residential construction.
  • Proficient in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, AutoCAD)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and residential building practices.
  • Exceptional communication
  • Highly analytical with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
