Compensation: The expected wage for this Minnesota-based position is between $19-$31 an hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, and Retirement Benefits).

Basic Function
The Human Resource Office Assistant will handle the daily administrative human resource duties and be responsible for general office duties for the company. They will also support the senior leadership team with tasks and projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provides HR administrative support for various activities including record management, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, payroll, and benefits.
- Provides clerical support for human resources reporting, surveys, and compensation reviews. Conducts 401K audits as needed.
- Provides customer service to employees responding to human resource inquiries and questions, which may include working with third party administrators.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties including responding to company voicemails, maintaining the company directory and organizational charts, distributing incoming mail, and ordering office supplies.
- Creates and distributes internal communications and materials pertaining to employment, benefits, compensation, and company programs or policies.
- Provides administrative support for HR processes and assists in managing programs or special projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and human resources regulations.
- Performs administrative duties for senior leadership including preparing reports and correspondence, creating and/or editing documents and presentations as needed.
- Manages schedules, arranges appointments, coordinates meetings and travel for senior leadership as needed.
- Supports the organization’s employee engagement initiatives.
- Establishes and sustains interactive relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the organization.
- Keeps management informed of key developments and potential issues, ensuring timely communication and coordination of plans and activities to promote a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or AA degree required.
- 3+ years administrative experience, in an HR environment a plus.
- Experience with payroll or benefit administration preferred.
- Ability to keep confidential information.
- Detailed oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Paylocity or Ease a plus.
- Light work, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force or less.
- Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less (near vision) and ability to identify/distinguish colors.
- Requires fingering, repetitive motion, talking, and hearing.
- 85% of the time requires viewing and working on a computer screen.
- Significant work pace & pressure due to deadlines.
