Key Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership: Supervise all daily on-site activities for structural concrete projects in coordination with foremen and field crews.
  • Concrete Expertise: Manage formwork, rebar placement, concrete pours, curing schedules, and post-pour procedures for high-performance structural systems.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of laborers, carpenters, foremen, and subcontractors-instilling a safety-first, results-driven mindset.
  • Schedule Coordination: Develop and execute pour schedules and project timelines including sequencing for shoring, curing, and material logistics.
  • Site Logistics: Plan staging areas, pump locations, crane setups, and access routes to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
  • Safety Oversight: Conduct daily safety briefings and site audits; uphold OSHA compliance and company safety protocols with zero compromise.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect formwork, reinforcement, and concrete placement to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and testing standards.
  • Problem Solving: Address field-level challenges proactively-from resource constraints to coordination conflicts-with effective real-time solutions.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure timely material deliveries and hold vendors accountable for performance standards and deadlines.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary on-site liaison for engineers, owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of structural concrete supervision experience, ideally in commercial or large-scale settings.
  • Strong technical expertise in formwork systems, reinforcement detailing, concrete placement, and post-pour activities.
  • Proven ability to manage structural sequencing-foundations, vertical elements, decks, and multi-story structural pours.
  • Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, or similar project management tools.
  • Deep understanding of OSHA safety requirements and field safety leadership.
  • Excellent team-building and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (not required with equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various Montana job sites.
