Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, OR Counseling
  • Hold licensure as a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP), Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from the State of Michigan.
  • Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services.
  • Have had at least three (3) years of full-time casework experience including 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license

Essential Job function:

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Assigns and monitors caseloads, conducts outcome- and strength-based supervision, and evaluates staff performance.
  • Trains and orients new staff and supports professional development through coaching and education.
  • Uses motivational interviewing techniques to guide and support staff.

Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Reviews clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Medicaid, DCH, and internal standards.
  • Supports the development of individualized, strength-based treatment plans aligned with stage of change and recovery goals.
  • Monitors the use of evidence-based practices and outcome measures.

Service Coordination & Collaboration

  • Ensures coordination with external providers, community resources, and internal departments.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and community mental health and substance use providers.

Program and Staff Management

  • Approves medically necessary services and ensures proper authorization processes.
  • Oversees programmatic functions, including staffing decisions, performance appraisals, and adherence to clinical and operational protocols.

Client-Centered Approach

  • Maintains a welcoming, empathetic, and culturally sensitive environment.
  • Encourages integrated care approaches, including medication support and peer resources.
  • Ensures that clients receive coordinated, timely, and effective care.
