Position Summary

The Director will play a leading role in data governance, master data management, and data warehouse initiatives focused on delivering a comprehensive data analytics platform that drives efficiency and long-term value creation:

  • Enhance strategic decision-making for portfolio management, asset management, capital investment/allocation, and pricing by developing analytics focused on cash flow growth, risk-adjusted returns, and operating and financial efficiency.
  • Drive actionable insights, risks, and opportunities by creating real-time visibility into trends in key business drivers, leading indicators, customer preferences and behavior, and competitor insights.
  • Enable self-service analytics by creating access to efficient, user-friendly data that is clearly defined, accurate, and consistent across systems.

Job Duties

  • Partner with leaders across the business to develop analytic roadmaps to promote data-driven decision-making.
  • Work with our technology partners to ensure high-quality, usable data are captured to support reliable business-facing analytics.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards and analytics solutions, enabling stakeholders to access timely and actionable insights.
  • Implement data governance to support data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Help create and maintain financial models, including in Argus and Excel, and support business process and strategic analytics design and documentation.
  • Help monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and competitor research; collect market data/reports in support of business plans.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related major (business, data science, economics, accounting, real estate) and/or equivalent experience; MBA or related master's a plus.
  • Seven plus years of experience in real estate finance, data science, or other analytical role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high ownership of work product, and commitment to driving results.
  • Strong leadership abilities and able to work well within a highly collaborative team environment, while building trust and credibility with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior executives, technologists, and business subject matter experts.
  • Superior in Excel, including strong modeling capability; ARGUS, CRM, Qualtrics, Tableau, and data warehouse (Snowflake) experience preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of real estate and investment principles, data analytics, and related financial concepts, including NPV, IRR, and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $179,100.00 - $218,800.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
