Job Summary:

The Junior Software Engineer/Helpdesk Technician is a hybrid role that combines full-stack software development with IT infrastructure support. This individual will contribute to building scalable, secure, and performant software solutions while also assisting in the maintenance and support of the organization’s technical infrastructure. As a developer, they will work on a diverse range of technologies including .NET, Flutter, React, Java, and AWS. As a technician, they will respond to support requests, manage user access, and help ensure secure and compliant operations of Exceed Healthcare’s systems. This position is ideal for candidates looking to apply their programming skills in a real-world healthcare environment while developing broad IT expertise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience and demonstrated aptitude in software development
  • Proven experience as a .NET, Flutter, or React Native Developer (3+ years preferred)
  • Proficiency in .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Flutter, BloC, Riverpod, and MVC architectures
  • Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and popular libraries or frameworks are a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework, Entity Relationship Diagrams, and database management
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and microservices architectures
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and/or within a team
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role
  • Hands-on experience with network and server infrastructure
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems and HIPAA compliance preferred
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, Network+, or AWS Certification: Cloud Practitioner
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is preferred
  • This position may require evening or weekend work to perform maintenance and upgrades.
  • The role involves sitting for extended periods and using a computer.
  • The technician will occasionally need to lift and move IT equipment.
