JSI invites you to join our team as a Voice Provisioning Tech on our Voice team in Madison, Mississippi where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion—while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.
Position Overview:
As a Voice Provisioning Tech, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, and deploying the voice infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate with our Voice team to provide exceptional service to our partners.
Responsibilities
- Process and monitor the New Install queue ensuring that all customer support requests are handled in a timely, thorough, and efficient manner.
- Answer inbound technical support calls and make outbound calls to customers as needed.
- Monitor and respond to all incoming Provisioning emails.
- Monitor install dates to ensure we have all the information needed for programming.
- Keep detailed notes and records of all work performed regarding customers.
- Ensure all customers have an exceptionally positive experience with JSI.
- Availability to provide on-call support on a rotating schedule.
- Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
Required Qualifications:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant work experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ year of Voice Support experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support role.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written; proficient in English.
- Advanced understanding of VoIP and networks, including troubleshooting/fixing voice and network related problems.
- Must possess well-developed client-driven skills while operating in a manner making it easy to do business; committed to helping and supporting company End Users connectivity issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information and concepts to team members, outside partners, and managers in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to function well in a team, as well as establish rapport, credibility, and trust with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
- Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
- Understanding of company products, services, and policies.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen.
- Regularly requires manual dexterity, visual activity, verbal communication, and auditory skills.
