Under the direction of the Women’s Health Program Manager, the Program Coordinator- Women’s Health plays a central role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of women’s health services across multiple health centers. This position ensures the effective implementation of health initiatives and compliance with relevant public health programs such as Family PACT, Every Woman Counts, Title X, and HEDIS-related measures. The coordinator will also serve as a liaison between the Women’s Health/Prenatal Department and health center teams, assisting in developing systems and workflows to ensure service consistency and quality outcomes. This position is designed to grow with the program, offering increasing opportunities for administrative support in the coordination of activities and responsibilities.

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm. This position is remote but candidates must be located in Riverside or San Diego County.

Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator Women’s Health will support day-to-day operations, quality assurance, outreach, compliance, and patient navigation efforts within the Women’s Health Department. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Program Implementation & Coordination

  • Supports implementation and monitoring of women’s health programs and grant project compliance
  • Coordinates outreach campaigns for women’s health preventive services
  • Supports mobile mammogram program by coordinating events, collaborating with site leaders to ensure full appointment schedules, managing authorization requests and follow-ups, tracking results, and maintaining an open and collaborative relationship with the vendor
  • Coordinates and delivers new or updated workflows and educational content during organization-wide team meetings
  • Collaborate with site leadership to optimize patient flow, communication, and care continuity

Patient Navigation & Support

  • Manages a roster of patients requiring preventive women’s health screenings by tracking outreach efforts and coordinating follow-up communications
  • Tracks and monitors progress using cancer tracking tools (e.g., breast/abnormal pap) to provide administrative support to the women’s health cancer navigation team (e.g., breast surgery, oncology, gynecology)
  • Supports communication between patients and providers to streamline care and follow-up
  • Ensures documentation and patient communication comply with Family PACT (Fpact) and Every Woman Counts (EWC) program requirements
  • Keeps the organization-wide colposcopy calendar up to date and ensures adequate clinic access in collaboration with the women’s health referral coordinator and site leadership

Data Monitoring & Reporting

  • Tracks and reports on screenings, diagnostics, and program metrics
  • Monitors and shares quality data trends to support decision-making for the program improvement and ensure the highest level of care
  • Generate reports and meeting notes for care teams and supervisors
  • Supports internal and external audits and plan reporting by compiling necessary documentation, maintaining accurate logs, and responding to data requests in a timely and compliant manner

Training, Development & Compliance

  • Contributes to the development of workflows, auditing tools, and staff training resources
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant policies, clinical guidelines, and state/federal regulations
  • Additional administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Women’s Health or FQHC setting required
  • Preferred experience in clinical or healthcare settings, with a strong understanding of medical terminology, and familiarity with Family PACT, Every Woman Counts (EWC), and Title X programs
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Emotional Intelligence: High level of emotional intelligence (EI), demonstrating sensitivity to the emotions of others while managing personal emotions to maintain a productive and respectful work environment.
  • FQHC Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to all FQHC regulations, including HRSA guidelines and reporting requirements. Maintain knowledge of changes in FQHC policies and ensure compliance with all program-related activities.
  • Quality Improvement (QI): Actively contribute to QI initiatives by implementing evidence-based practices and ensuring the continual improvement of care processes in alignment with patient-centered care principles.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with the local community to promote program access, address health disparities, and support initiatives aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes.

Pay range: $27.21 - $37.02 per hour depending on experience.

While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
