As a vital part of the healthcare team, this role assumes primary responsibility for nursing coordination and providing individualized patient care across all ages.
- Utilizes delegation and critical thinking to deliver high-quality, team-oriented care, assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Supports quality care and performance improvement by functioning effectively in crisis situations, managing resources, and prioritizing patient needs.
- Collaborates with case management and social work to facilitate patient throughput and ensures a positive patient experience through excellent customer service.
- Uses bed tracking technology and collaborates with leadership for efficient patient flow.
- Requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), with minimum 1-year acute care experience (2 preferred).
- Must hold an active RN license in Virginia, with BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, and basic computer proficiency.
- Physical demands include lifting, standing, and exposure to infectious materials.
