S ummary
The Marketing Supervisor, reporting to the Director of Development and Marketing , plays a vital role within the Development and Marketing team and the organization. This team's primary responsibility is to secure essential funding to offer life-saving care to animals within our shelters , and in the wider community. The ideal candidate possesses enthusiasm for nurturing donor relationships, framing the PIN story for donorship, adoption, and volunteerism, and engaging the community in meaningful ways that provide support for our mission impact . Key responsibilities include developing, managing , maintaining , and evaluating content , web, and advertising strategy, developing and evaluating creative content that aligns with our voice, managing digital assets and proposals , supporting web and emai l, and compiling data analytics. In addition, the role manages cultivation , fundraising, and stewardship events and supports the team in other capacities as needed.

Leadership
- Identifies and periodically reevaluates integrated marketing needs and develops planning to provide strategic execution in a t imel y and cost-effective manner.
- Serves operations and development teams as in -house agency, focused on customer service and strategic counsel.
- Works collaboratively with the Directors and Managers to effectively an d efficiently meet the needs of the organization.
- Recruits and manages marketing volunteers, including photographers, writers, graphic designers, and content creators.
- Collaborates with the team for planning, scheduling, creating, posting, and evaluating social media posts, blog posts, creative videos, and email blasts to help increase giving and participation/engagement across fundraising efforts and mission programs; contributing by being both a creative partner and technical expert.
- Collaborates with the team on digital reports and proposals for stakeholders.
- Shepherds website refresh and ongoing management of web updates, edits, and evolution; developing blog content, and creating graphics and editing images as necessary.
- Creates timely social media content to show the impact of philanthropy and increase visibility of fundraising programs such as annual giving, third-party fundraising, community events, and other ways to give. Creates timely social content to drive adoptions, volunteer and staff recruitment, and community engagement.
- Catalogues and maintains an extensive library of images and other assets for organization-wide use in Air, Pets In Need’s Digital Asset Management system.
- Learns Qwilr program and serves as team expert to build presentations and trains colleagues in best practices.
- Recommends new approaches, procedures, and processes to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Assists in monitoring, reporting, and assessing social media channels / content analytics.
- Coordinates, shoots, and edits videos to engage and steward donors, adopters, volunteers, and the community-at-large.
- Adheres to style guide, ensuring materials produced are high-quality and error-free.
- Regularly reports on content progress, outcomes of specific fundraising and program efforts, and web analytics.
- Manages digital advertising reports and monthly KPI reporting.
- Evaluates and manages strategic, community-engagement events including VIP tours, donor stewardship engagements, and on-and-off-site events.
- Helps manage two major donor events per year and supports staff and volunteer appreciation events.
- Researches and manages vendor relations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with local media outlets.
- Positions Pets In Need as trusted and in-demand, subject-matter-experts.
- Writes and pitches local media for dynamic Pets In Need coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, visual media, journalism, public relations, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in the marketing, communications and/or content creation field. Volunteering, internships, and undergraduate related work considered.
- Experience in social media management and video production.
- History of completing projects accurately.
- Experience managing a variety of highly detailed tasks.
- Track record of providing excellent customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with video editing software and tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, CapCut).
- Experience with design and photography software (e.g. Canva/InDesign/Visme; Photoshop/Lightroom/Pixlr)
- Experience updating websites and/or experience with Squarespace and Wordpress a plus.
- Experience building or working with email newsletters.
- Ability to build and retain quality relationships with various populations: Board, staff, funders, donors, volunteers, etc.
