Provides direct patient care ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates care based on assessments to optimize outcomes.
- Delegates tasks to staff, precepts students and new hires.
- Collaborates across disciplines for comprehensive care, including psychosocial and spiritual support.
- Educates patients and families tailored to their needs.
- Requires RN license, BLS certification, and relevant credentials; ACLS and PALS may be needed based on department.
- Minimum one year RN experience; some specialties require additional certifications.
- Shift is nights; physical demands include lifting, standing, walking, and exposure to hazards.
