JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Duties Coordinates and performs complex
legal and clerical work for assigned Circuit Court. Takes and
transcribes minutes of court proceedings and completes necessary forms
and documents related to each hearing; and distributes forms and
documents to proper litigants, attorneys, authorities, and agencies.
Cancel quashed warrants in a timely manner. Notifies litigants and
attorneys of trial dates and maintains court calendar as needed.
Verifies and answers inquiries of a non-restricted nature regarding
criminal, civil and family records. Prepares a variety of legal papers
such as judgments, warrants, notices of hearings. Maintains court jury
panels; swears in witnesses; completes tasks in jury management after
trials allowing jurors to be paid for their jury service. Marks,
maintains and is responsible for an accurate accounting of exhibits
offered and received during court proceedings. Accepts, interprets,
enters and processes court filings/orders/judgments. Issues executions,
transcripts and certified copies and satisfies judgments. Keeps an
account of files and closes out files that are assigned to their circuit
court when appropriate. Ensures proper files, documents, and forms are
in the courtroom or are processed from e-filing system for daily court
activities. Reviews and processes e-filed court documents within 48
business hours for their respective branch. Maintains records regarding
money judgments, liens, satisfaction of judgments and other related
court areas for their assigned branch. Composes and types correspondence
for their respective branch. Assists other Court coordinators to process
e-filed document on a regular basis and assists with administrative
tasks when necessary. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Performs related functions
as assigned by Chief Deputy and Clerk of Courts. Performs duties of
bailiff on occasional basis. Covers commissioner\'s intake and
injunction hearings. File and process search warrants entering, scanning
and sealing documents. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of procedures and practices as they relate to the Clerk of
Courts office and court system. Knowledge of financial structures for
various misdemeanor and felony statutes to ensure proper imposition of
fines, costs, restitution and civil judgments for unpaid financial
obligations. Knowledge of criminal and traffic state statutes and county
ordinances, administrative codes, legislative bulletins, bond schedules
for entry and/or disposition of cases. Knowledge of the English
language. Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowledge of general
bookkeeping practices. Knowledge of legal terminology, court forms and
statutes. Knowledge of Court procedures and proceedings. Knowledge of
and ability to utilize a computer and the required software. Ability to
prioritize duties, work independently and use necessary judgment.
Ability to work well under pressure at a rapid pace and on multiple
tasks at any given time. Ability to follow complex oral and written
instructions. Ability to verify status, accuracy and maintain legal
records. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply policies, regulations,
procedures and laws. Including the ability to interpret court orders
written by court officials. Ability to accept responsibility and
exercise independent judgment. Ability to independently answer inquiries
and complaints from various parties in the justice system in an
effective and courteous manner. Ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with Judges, attorneys, other courthouse
staff, government agencies and the public. Ability to maintain a high
level of confidentiality and seal particular court documents when
necessary. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing. Including composing correspondence for the court. Ability to
