This is a Software Engineer role in the Hardware Product Catalog (PCat) team to own and enhance an AI-based software catalog that offers internal Google stakeholders the ability to author and curate a catalog of machines and racks suitable for forecasting and ordering compute, storage and ML capacity.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
- 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
- 1 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience developing, building, and deploying solutions and working with business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working in one or more of the following domains (e.g., supply chain, customer products or customer sales).
- Experience working with one or more Generative AI models.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure standard procedures amongst available technologies (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.).
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Develop, build, and deploy solutions and work with business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that include ML pipelines implementing regression techniques.
- Deliver scalable systems, process and data solutions to invent, build and operate the world's leading data centers.
- Identify, assess, estimate, and solve business issues, where analysis of situations/scenarios or data requires an evaluation of variable factors including AI model accuracy.
