We’re looking for a driven, eager to learn and enthusiastic Talent Specialist to join our People Team. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building connections, driving recruitment, and making a meaningful impact around the key roles to support team DI.

You'll report directly to our Talent Manager and will be given plenty of room to shine, contribute, and take ownership in a dynamic, ever-evolving company.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:

Talent Management

  • Coordinates with hiring managers to identify their recruiting needs
  • Collaborates with the Talent Manager and Marketing team to provide recruiting updates for monthly DI newsletter and quarterly DI Holdings newsletter
  • Assists with the summer Intern program including recruitment and program coordination
  • Sources proactively talent via platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and others
  • Owns the full-cycle recruiting process – from resume review to interviews to offer coordination
  • Reviews candidate details and shares thorough feedback and recommendations with hiring managers
  • Follows up with hiring managers to gather and document their post-interview feedback
  • Maintains candidate profile with notes and updates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Monitors candidate status in ATS and sends follow-up communications to candidates as needed
  • Initiates background check processes and drug screening for new hires
  • Ensures all active roles have current, accurate job descriptions
  • Maintains and expands an active talent pipeline through career fairs, university relations, and community outreach
  • Provides company information and job opportunities to potential candidates
  • Assists with employer branding, advertising projects and recruiting campaigns
  • Contributes to annual recruiting budget planning and helps maintain budget compliance
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested (not sure what this is or what type)
  • Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned

General HR

  • Organize, manage, and upkeep HR Drive
  • Builds strong internal and supportive professional relationships with employees while maintaining integrity and appropriate discretion
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files and processes PAFs when needed
  • Supports the Talent Manager in preparing People Team updates for monthly Huddle meetings
  • Assists with onboarding logistics, including setting up IT equipment, workspaces, and first-week schedules
  • Monitors HR email inboxes for each company and routes inquiries appropriately
  • Assist with internal monitor content development and execution for all companies
  • Updates Performance Management How-To Guides annually or as needed
  • Perform additional General HR duties and special projects as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of Paycom or similar Applicant Tracking System
  • A keen understanding of the differences between various departments, functions, and roles within the organization
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Shows up as a go-getter, a motivated self-starter and can own various tasks independently
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Ability to create and maintain strong administrative relationships with benefit providers, benefit partners and company insurance broker

Education/Certifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related business field, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 2 years full-cycle talent recruitment experience required
  • Experience assisting with company benefits, and interacting with designated business partners
  • Strong literacy and experience using HRIS databases including payroll, benefit enrollment and plan carrier tools

This is a salary (exempt) position. DI offers a full benefit package including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance along with Short and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance and Supplemental Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity.
