Job Summary:

Giesecke+Devrient is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on 1st shift in Bolingbrook, IL. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production equipment. Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using technical blueprints and schematics.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure machines are set up according to daily schedules.
  • Investigate equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Adhere to ISO standards and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, eliminating safety hazards.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
  • Communicate unresolved issues to management promptly.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability for critical repairs.
  • Train colleagues on equipment maintenance and operational procedures.
  • Follow and participate in plant safety and housekeeping guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in repairing complex electrical machinery.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with PLC, AC/DC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Exacting standards of personal integrity with the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and stackers.
  • Competence in handling potentially hazardous materials safely.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal color perception.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • 2-4 years of vocational and/or maintenance technician experience.
  • Technical degree from an accredited institution.
  • PLC experience.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
