Samsung Electronics America is seeking a qualified Financial & Logistics analyst. This position drives process improvements and cost containment activities through the systematic review of highly staffed or underperforming functions to reduce costs, increase capacity, streamline throughput, increase accountability and control enhance revenue, and improve internal and/or external customer satisfaction.
The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $85,000 and $95,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Tuition Assistance (after 6 months), Paid Time Off, Student Loan Program (after 6 months), Wellness Incentives, and many more. - Ability to multitask is a must in this fast-paced environment to effectively manage the diverse and dynamic responsibilities of the role.
- Experience in Operation Finance is required, including work with Inbound, Outbound, Reverse Logistics, Claims teams, or 3PL vendors.
- Travel may be required for this role, approximately once every quarter or less.
- Perform financial forecasting, annual and/or monthly business plan and rolling plan, variance analysis of actual versus forecast and reconciliation of internal accounts
- Perform month-end closing process
- Inventory management to ensure valuation accuracy is reflected in financial statement
- Perform GL account reconciliations and manage open/suspense/aged items
- Support external and internal audit / risk management requirements as needed
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, and any reports assigned as needed
- Process logistics invoices, contact 3PL vendors to reconcile accounting issues or discrepancies
- Contact/escalate to other team members to resolve issues with vendor accounts that might affect operation.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred [in Accounting, Business Finance or similar]
- If no BS degree, 2+ years of work experience in a business finance or logistics environment
- Expert Excel skill is a must
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- General knowledge of logistics and/or supply chain
- Experience with SAP, WMS, ERP
- Knowledge and/or experience of financial audit preparation/defense is plus
