What You'll Do As An IT Intern

The IT Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the IT department, assisting with hardware and software installations, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to ongoing technology projects. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to gain real-world IT experience in a fast-paced business setting. This will be a paid summer internship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to internal users
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Help with setting up and configuring new workstations and devices
  • Support network maintenance and inventory tracking
  • Participate in IT infrastructure projects (e.g., upgrades, migrations)
  • Document processes and update user manuals or FAQs
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment in meeting rooms and common areas
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow company IT policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting principles
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, or basic scripting
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or data privacy best practices
