In this position, the Senior Manager of National Athlete Marketing will enhance relevance and awareness among target consumers on both national and global scales by empowering athletes to excel in their sports and achieve their dreams, while effectively communicating these narratives to consumers in a credible and inspiring manner.
The role of the Senior Manager of National Athlete Marketing is to bring Red Bull's global brand to life on a national level through athletes, athlete-driven projects, and marketing initiatives focused on athletes. This individual will strengthen and expand Red Bull’s presence by using athlete partnerships and strategic product placement as tools to attract new consumers and establish clear points of differentiation for the brand. Moreover, the Senior Manager must possess strategic vision and technical expertise to drive impact across key mainstream sports and media channels.
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
ATHLETE PORTFOLIO
Identify, evaluate, and assess nationally and globally influential U.S.-based athlete talent, with an emphasis on top-tier athletes in Olympic sports, core disciplines, and mainstream sports. Recruit elite U.S. athletes, aligning efforts with Red Bull's marketing goals and global athlete selection criteria. Facilitate the onboarding process for high-profile athletes and key external stakeholders, such as talent agency executives, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Red Bull's partnership principles, deliverables, and marketing/media capabilities. Establish and grow a robust network of opinion leaders and subject matter experts across Red Bull’s priority sports, including core disciplines (Surfing, Skateboarding, Snowboarding) and mainstream sports, particularly those within the Olympic sphere. This includes maintaining relationships with leading industry executives and governing body officials. Create innovative sponsorship contract structures and spearhead negotiations with high-level talent managers and agency representatives. Provide insights to shape the U.S. athlete sponsorship strategy across key sports disciplines and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Global and National Vice Presidents, Senior Marketing Directors, and Marketing Directors.
ATHLETE MARKETING & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Set individual athlete goals and target outcomes that align with global and national sports marketing strategies. Ensure excellent execution across all aspects of Red Bull’s marketing mix while maintaining sportive credibility and adherence to Red Bull's global sports marketing standards. Develop strategic marketing campaigns, projects, and activations to showcase Red Bull's partnerships and increase awareness and relevance on a national and/or global scale. The authentic and credible representation of Red Bull’s product functionality by athletes, as well as brand integration through apparel and equipment branding, will be essential components of execution. Collaborate closely with the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center (APC) Global team to provide maximum support for each Red Bull athlete’s performance goals and targets. Partner with Media Network counterparts and external media stakeholders to enhance communication efforts for above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) athlete marketing initiatives.
NATIONAL MARKETING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Lead the development and execution of national and global athlete projects that demand a high level of cross-functional communication and collaboration. This may include national product marketing campaigns, national media initiatives, or inspiring sports-related athlete projects requiring advanced technical expertise. Consult with and align alongside marketing leadership (Senior Sports Marketing Managers and Directors of Marketing) to develop regional activation campaigns and projects that effectively utilize the Senior AMM athlete portfolio.

The base salary range for this position is $115,280 - $172,920 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.

- 8+ years direct athlete marketing and high-profile talent management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the US sports industry and sports management landscapes.
- Exceptional communication skills – including training and presentation abilities.
- Proven track record of excellent planning, organizational, and project management competencies.
- Openness to new scenes, ideas, processes, innovation, and possibilities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit - Self-starter with a focus on results and consumer outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage.
