Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of retail displays and packaging projects from development through delivery. This role requires deep knowledge of manufacturing processes including corrugated, vacuum forming, and plastic fabrication, along with experience in both domestic and international production and shipping.

The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with strong communication skills, capable of managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships. You’ll collaborate across departments, support prototype builds, document engineering changes, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the production cycle. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft D365 a plus) is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of projects ensuring delivery of orders.
  • Coordinate production with vendors domestic and international.
  • Generate manufacturing orders and prepare projects for production.
  • Assist in the development of projects.
  • Assist in assembling prototypes and document engineering changes.
  • Assist in documenting engineering and production issues.
  • Assist in packaging submission for design and drop tests
  • Work in D365 ERP System to set up Purchase orders and Production Planning.
  • Approve proofs, die lines and first strikes.
  • Document potential quality concerns.
  • Meet project budgets and deadlines.
  • Ensure that design integrity and quality standards are met.
  • Assist in generating instruction sheets.
  • Assist in preparing distribution list for shipping.
  • Work with line leads for first article approvals and finished goods packouts.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in various materials and manufacturing processes including:
    • Corrugated packaging.
    • Printing.
    • Vacuum forming.
    • Plastic fabrication.
    • Finishing- painting and powder coating.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
    • Working with intercompany departments.
    • Maintain relations with manufacturing vendors.
  • Ability to work within a budget and development timelines to deliver a finished product.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read an Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • ERP systems understanding (Microsoft D365 is a plus).
