Summary
This position is responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis within the Treasury and Financial Planning team. The Senior Financial Analyst will work with team leadership on projects and analysis related to financial planning, debt, cash, and investment activities in support of the financial goals of the Authority. This position works on complex financial analyses for financial reporting, operating and capital planning, forecast modeling, cash flow reporting, reconciliations, variance, and trend analysis. This position will lead and train other analysts, monitor compliance with signed agreements, and collaborate with department leadership. Other duties include participating in various finance activities and projects, such as conducting research and preparing ad hoc reports.

Summary

This position works on complex financial analyses for financial reporting, operating and capital planning, forecast modeling, cash flow reporting, reconciliations, variance, and trend analysis. This position will lead and train other analysts, monitor compliance with signed agreements, and collaborate with department leadership. Other duties include participating in various finance activities and projects, such as conducting research and preparing ad hoc reports.
- Starting Pay Range: $70,556 - $92,850***
- Supports NTTA’s overall business through financial reporting, analysis, modeling, research, and ad hoc projects.
- Prepares periodic, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting and analytics.
- Develops, interprets, and maintains complex financial models for management reporting, cash settlement, business planning and forecasting, in support of management decision making.
- Completes variance and trend analyses and reporting with commentary for use by management.
- Works to develop the annual operating plan, financial forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Reconciles, settles, and processes daily cash and ongoing payments.
- Partners with accounting team on preparation of financial entries and audit requirements for treasury activities
- Provides back-up support for other team members.
- Identifies process enhancements and streamline activities for productivity improvements.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and communications with internal and external teams and business partners.
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 5+ years relevant work experience in corporate finance, banking, and/or consulting
- Experience and strong working knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, planning, and management reporting
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience using financial reporting and budgeting systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access – use of advanced features for data analytics and reporting (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, macros, etc.)
- Innovative and critical thinking
- CFA – Chartered Financial Analyst
