Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and manage the financial operations of our manufacturing facilities. This role requires strong expertise in cost accounting, and cash flow analysis, with the ability to work in a hands-on capacity in a fast-paced aerospace machining environment. The Controller will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making and will serve as the primary contact for audits and financial reporting.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and manage the financial operations of our manufacturing facilities. This role requires strong expertise in cost accounting, and cash flow analysis, with the ability to work in a hands-on capacity in a fast-paced aerospace machining environment. The Controller will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making and will serve as the primary contact for audits and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including general accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Manage the month-end close process and prepare timely and accurate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) for executive and Board-level review.
- Maintain and improve standard costing systems; analyze cost variances and recommend process improvements.
- Lead annual audits and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.
- Develop and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts; perform ongoing cash flow analysis to support operational and strategic planning.
- Review payroll for accuracy and compliance; coordinate with HR and external payroll providers as needed.
- Consolidate financials from multiple locations and systems using advanced Excel skills.
- Provide financial support and insight for capital investments, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies; implement best practices in internal controls and financial procedures.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to align financial strategies with production goals and business growth.
- CPA; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including roles in both large and small company environments.
- Significant experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, preferably aerospace or defense sector.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, including standard costing, job costing, and inventory accounting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Global Shop and Job Boss are what we use.
- Expertise in Excel, including financial consolidations and complex modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead audits and drive process improvements.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality financial reports for executive and Board-level stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
