Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in front end web development using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a technical, UX, design environment, or similar.
  • Experience in one or more programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Experience with SQL and Data visualization.
  • Experience with migrating existing interactive products towards adopting established design systems.

As a UX Engineer, you'll work as part of a UX team in a challenging, fast-paced environment. You’ll demonstrate your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user facing technologies to create prototypes that identify the best product experiences, launch innovative features, build tools that accelerate UX teams, bridge between design and engineering discussions, and enable efficient, high quality execution.

As the UX Engineer, you will accelerate AI/ML development at Google and build and maintain a vital knowledge portal, centralizing information like user roles, journey maps, and recommended architectures. You'll collaborate with UX Researchers, Designers, and other engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop the front-end of the internal AI/ML Development Portal, translating wireframes and designs into functional and user-friendly web interfaces.
  • Assist with back-end development tasks related to the portal, focusing on content integration and data display.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements for the portal.
  • Assist with testing and quality assurance to ensure the portal is user-friendly, and accurately presents information.
