Position Summary: The Senior Accountant - Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for full-charge financial planning and budgeting/forecasting for the organization, as well as the preparation and analysis of financial records needed for decision-making. The work draws upon and requires a thorough knowledge of the fundamental theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy and finance.
Hourly Rate: $35.32 - $38.37 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Financial Planning Analyst responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:
Lead on preparation of the Long Range Financial Plan
- Leads the development of the organization’s long-range strategic financial plan and the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets, including temporary restricted funds, grants, indirect costs, retail, operations, and administrative functions
- Collaborates with department leaders to prepare fiscal year budgets and analyze actuals versus budgeted costs.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget (variance analysis) & prepare forecast when needed, provide training to management and monthly support
- Assist in audits and helps ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements for the Lead on Audited Financial Statements, CARF (Commission of Accreditation and Rehabilitation of Facilities), Internal Audit, and Indirect Cost
- Lead preparation of Federal Income Tax return (Form 990)
- Prepare Annual Indirect Cost Proposal
- Prepare Annual and Monthly GII Data
- Prepare Monthly and Annual US Census reports
- Provide support to management and operating personnel by interpreting financial information, explaining accounting principles, and enforcing established accounting policies and practices
- Provides support to management and operational teams by leveraging business analyst expertise in retail and operations, including reporting and data analysis.
- Lead on department’s technology support, upgrades and development – Administrator of Reporting and Budgeting software. Lead on new technology implementations
- Prepare bank reconciliations and other general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist the Finance team’s management in a variety of routine and special projects as needed
- Prepare Annual Common Area Maintenance reconciliations
- Assist with Year End Closing Procedures and Analyze Trial Balance
- Member of Risk Management Team, Treasury Team and Insurance Team
