We are searching for a hardworking, passionate, and experienced individual to take the lead as Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Perform regular examinations and preventive maintenance schedules for equipment to include oil and greasing to minimize breakdowns. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Review production schedules and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, perform scheduled maintenance or necessary scheduled repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
  • Test equipment after repairs, ensuring proper operation before releasing equipment back to production.
  • Perform weekly checks of safety stock. Verify stock of critical parts and components on site to reduce repair downtime.
  • Direct line operators and packers and service personnel, such as lift truck operators, in details of daily PM schedule, standard operating procedures, and requirements.
  • Operate equipment during relief periods.
  • Notify maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
  • Perform on call repair duties at times for other production shifts.
  • Follow all L.O.T.O procedures, as well as, all company safety programs and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of three-year formal training program, or five or more years equivalent work experience in machine equipment maintenance.
  • Machine repair certificates and licenses preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience with mechanical, industrial, and basic electrical tasks to include inputs, outputs, electrical motor wiring, and overloads/starters.
  • Electrical knowledge and/or experience is a plus.
  • Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
  • High mental and visual effort required.
  • Ability to stand most of the shift.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts on continuous, seven-day cycle.
  • Welding/fabrication experience is a must.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent follow through skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and communicate effectively across all levels.
