We're looking for a proactive Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead our safety and environmental programs at our Eugene Plant. Your work will ensure compliance with regulations and help build a strong safety culture. This role is key to preventing incidents, reducing risk, and supporting sustainability efforts.
Who You'll Be Working With.
You'll report to the Plant Manager and work closely with employees, supervisors, contractors, and corporate leaders. You'll lead our plant safety committee, conduct trainings, and be a visible presence in the plant-coaching teams and ensure safety protocols are followed.

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental compliance programs in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular safety audits, facility self-assessments, and track follow-up actions.
- Coach employees and managers to support a strong safety culture across all shifts.
- Deliver training for new hires, contractors, and current employees on safety procedures and regulations.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company-specific safety standards.
- Supervise and support safe behaviors of employees, contractors, and visitors through daily plant presence.
- Partner with corporate teams on sustainability initiatives to reduce the facility's environmental impact.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead others.
- At least 3 years of experience in safety and environmental compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or grain milling environment.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to coach employees and managers at all levels.
- Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage documentation and follow through on corrective actions.
- Comfort working in a plant environment and being a visible, engaged presence on the floor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management systems or platforms like Axonify.
