Job Summary
The Social Impact & Inclusion Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Sacramento Kings community engagement efforts by executing a range of programs and initiatives aligned with the organization’s social impact goals. This position is responsible for managing the donation and Community Ticket Program processes, supporting priority partnerships, coordinating employee volunteer efforts, and assisting with internal inclusion initiatives.
The coordinator will serve as a key liaison between the organization and community stakeholders, ensuring smooth logistics, timely communication, and consistent impact storytelling. This includes collecting and curating content for social media and maintaining tracking systems for reporting purposes. The role also includes on-site responsibilities during Sacramento Kings home games, supporting in-game community activations and guest experiences.

Tasks And Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Programs
- Support the execution of Social Impact initiatives aligned with NBA Cares and Kings community priorities, including coordination with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
- Serve as a liaison for community partners, supporting the planning, logistics, and execution of programs, including the Ball Kid experience, Behind-the-Scenes tours, and on-court community presentations.
- Oversee daily operations of the fan mail, donation requests, and Community Ticket Program, including inventory management of giveaways and autographed merchandise.
- Manage the in-kind ticket donation process, including fulfillment and preparation of tax letters to donors.
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, data tracking, processing financial documentation, and ordering supplies.
- Maintain and respond to the Social Impact inbox, ensuring timely and organized internal communication.
- Coordinate logistics and communications for the employee volunteer program and support the implementation of internal inclusion-focused engagements and initiatives in collaboration with ERGs.
- Collect and curate photos, impact stories, and event highlights to support Social Media and marketing efforts, collaborating with internal teams to share the impact of community work.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, nonprofit leaders, and internal departments to advance Social Impact goals.
- Assist with Kings home game activations and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Relations, or Community Development.
- Demonstrated excellence in time and resource management, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet critical deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support the development and execution of ideas aligned with organizational goals.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills across all areas of work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Canva; familiarity with additional design or project management tools is a plus.
- Experience in managing and curating content across multiple social media platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; consistently demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing day-to-day responsibilities with longer-term goals.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Local travel required; must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
