What Will You Do?
As the Director of Quality at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. This role is responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of the Quality Department projects and the formation of clinical improvement teams. This work includes the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a large number of interventions, programs, and data, while targeting improvement strategy initiatives and facilitating change through internal team building. The Director of Quality is dedicated to excellent customer service, enthusiastic about the care we offer, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.

Education/Experience

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor the development and implementation of the quality programs, in collaboration with the Vice President or Chief Nursing Executive (CNE), Department Leaders and other staff
- Implement systems to ensure that services conform to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and policies.
- Be knowledgeable in Hospital, Adult Foster Care, Child Caring Institution program requirements.
- Responsible for conformance to all applicable CARF and The Joint Commission accreditation standards and requirements, as well as education for staff in accreditation requirements.
- Responsible for survey readiness to assess the achievements of Pine Rest and provide feedback related to the quality programs.
- Perform investigation of complaints, mitigating as appropriate to severity, and integrate opportunities for improvement into quality measures
- Perform statistical and data analysis of quality and risk factor reports
- Round regularly to foster relationships and safe environment for reporting, engage staff in continuous quality improvement with a focus on prevention of patient harm and consistent patient care and ensure that quality activities are documented and reported
- Maintain the quality and process improvement initiatives data base
- Work with leadership to ensure Pine Rest preparedness for external audits and surveys demonstrating compliance with required standards and as appropriate follow up actions plans
- Provide quality orientation and continuing education programs for providers and staff to enhance their awareness of their role in patient safety and performance improvement
Education/Experience
- Masters prepared in equivalent field.
- Experience with Joint Commission or CARF
- Minimum of 5 years experience in management of a quality department and behavioral health experience.
- Experience in the formation of highly successful, productive and collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams, physicians and other health care providers.
