What You Will Do
Work as the primary technical resource on our Infrastructure Services group within the larger context of the
Information Technology department. Primarily responsible for servers, storage, data protection, business continuity
testing/planning, and next-level resource for Help Desk escalation/collaboration.

What You Will Do
Work as the primary technical resource on our Infrastructure Services group within the larger context of the
Information Technology department. Primarily responsible for servers, storage, data protection, business continuity
testing/planning, and next-level resource for Help Desk escalation/collaboration.
A Typical Day at Prime Controls
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and engineering responsibilities relating to virtual and physical servers, storage, UPS, and systems management
- Responsible for regularly reviewing performance metrics to ensure operational optimization; make recommendations to the IT Manager to take full advantage of computing and storage resources
- Ensures availability of business applications supporting the company’s operations (both hosted and on- prem)
- Ensures data protection through available backup, replication, de-duplication, and compression technologies in production, DR and Development environments
- Responds to and supports resolution in tickets escalated by the IT Help Desk
- Possess a basic working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 networking fundamentals to assist in infrastructure and solution design, troubleshooting, and planning
- Communicates effectively to provide optimal support and to promote a professional climate throughout the organization
- Assists in product evaluations as directed by the IT Manager
- Mentors team members who show interest in these areas of responsibility
- Travel will not exceed 15%
- 3-5 years’ experience as an IT Systems Administrator with a heavy focus in managing Windows domains
- Creative problem-solving: utilizing scripting (e.g. PowerShell) and custom apps/tooling to help answer evolving business challenges
- Familiarity with efficient management and querying of Windows Server, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra, Intune, etc. utilizing PowerShell
- Experience with Cohesity, Rubrik, or similar enterprise data protection platforms
- Experience working inside of ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or ServiceDesk Plus, etc
- Deep experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi (versions 6 and 7+), Windows Hyper-V (Nutanix experience is a plus)
- Experience with Systems Management Configuration Tools like SCCM/MECM/MCM and SCOM is a plus
- Experience with AWS EC2 management is a plus
