This is a full-time, benefited position reporting to the Division Controller, offering the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact finance team in a hands-on, collaborative manufacturing environment. We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant who will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity through general ledger oversight, financial reporting, and support of internal controls and audits.

The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy in monthly close procedures, assist in budget preparation, and analyze manufacturing costs and gross margins. We’re looking for a highly analytical professional with strong GAAP knowledge, exceptional Excel skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency. Essential Functions

  • Prepares and analyzes financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures.
  • Maintains and reconciles general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
  • Supports internal requests, corporate accounting teams, auditors, and tax-related inquiries by providing timely and accurate documentation.
  • Assists with the preparation and ongoing monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies, audit findings, and compliance concerns.
  • Assists with the development, review, and maintenance of labor and overhead rates.
  • Analyzes and reviews manufacturing costs and monitors gross margins.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Performs other accounting duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated integrity in handling confidential financial information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting practices and margin analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing accounting environment
