Position Summary
GTI is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Entry-Level EH&S Specialist to support and promote a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role will assist in monitoring and enforcing health and safety programs, maintaining regulatory documentation, and supporting plant-wide EH&S initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

2nd Shift Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm - 2:30am
GTI is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Entry-Level EH&S Specialist to support and promote a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role will assist in monitoring and enforcing health and safety programs, maintaining regulatory documentation, and supporting plant-wide EH&S initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- - Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and audits on the production floor
- - Support incident investigations and root cause analysis for workplace injuries or near misses
- - Assist with safety training programs (e.g., PPE, lockout/tagout, hazard communication)
- - Help maintain safety data sheets (SDS), safety reports, and training logs
- - Monitor and assist with hazardous waste storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with EPA and ADEQ guidelines
- - Participate in and support safety committees and team meetings
- - Assist in preparing for OSHA inspections and other regulatory audits
- - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
- - Maintain inventory of safety equipment and supplies
- - Track safety metrics and assist in developing continuous improvement initiatives
- - Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and proactive communication
- - Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- - 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or hands-on exposure a plus)
- - Strong communication and organizational skills
- - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- - Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and ADEQ regulations preferred
- - Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
- - Must be able to walk the production floor regularly and wear appropriate PPE
