This entry level role offers exposure to federal asset management systems, policy implementation, and operational support across multiple offices.
Requires: U.S. Person who is able to pass a National Agency Clearance with Inquires (NACI) screening.

This entry level role offers exposure to federal asset management systems, policy implementation, and operational support across multiple offices.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Inventory Officials in executing activities that ensure the effective management of property assets across NOAA offices
- Apply working knowledge of inventory policies and procedures to evaluate program effectiveness
- Review and reconcile database records within Sunflower Asset Management System to ensure accuracy
- Document and maintain records of accountable and nonaccountable government owned property
- Provide quality assurance and control over data entry and asset classification
- Coordinate and conduct periodic inventory reviews, reconciliations, and reporting
- Support administrative control and safeguarding of government owned equipment
- Recommend improvements to inventory procedures and operational policies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal SOPs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data functions
- Familiarity with MS Word and Oracle based systems
- Competence in business math and quantitative data analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (reports, emails, documentation)
- Demonstrated customer service and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field with advanced Excel skills; no prior experience required
- Option 2: Associate’s Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in at least one of the following areas: business, finance, operations, logistics
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Preferred experience includes inventory tracking, database administration, and use of Sunflower Asset Management systems
