Position Summary:
Manatee Springs Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy team. The DOR will oversee all aspects of the rehab department, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the rehabilitation department (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP).
- Develop and maintain schedules to ensure appropriate patient coverage and productivity.
- Monitor clinical documentation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between rehab staff, nursing, and administration to support interdisciplinary care planning.
- Oversee performance evaluations, hiring, training, and mentorship of rehab staff.
- Manage department budgets, productivity benchmarks, and resource utilization.
- Ensure delivery of person-centered, goal-oriented rehabilitation services.
- Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to evaluate and support potential rehab candidates.
- Lead regular department meetings and foster a collaborative, patient-focused team culture.
- Licensed PT, OT, SLP, or an Assistant (PTA/COTA) with significant leadership experience (as permitted by FL licensure rules).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a subacute/skilled nursing rehab setting.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Part A and B, PDPM, and current documentation standards.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate interdisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience with in-house rehab teams (non-contract).
- Experience with EMR systems (e.g., NetHealth, Casamba, or similar).
- Demonstrated success managing productivity and compliance metrics.
