Responsible for executing highly complex and sensitive corporate security activities essential to protecting the safety of FedEx employees. Key responsibilities include conducting behavioral threat assessments and providing workplace violence training.
Essential Functions
Bachelor's degree/equivalent, in Security Management, Criminal Justice or related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience
Ten (10) years of security management and complex threat management, risk management, force protection, and/or security/investigation experience. Experience creating directives, policy and training programs related to workplace violence and intimate partner violence; experience should also include incident management, with direct experience in critical, life safety incidents, and incidents involving employees. Experience in creating tabletop and functional drills on the emergency response to life safety events, and incidents on an escalation path.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Travel required is approximately 20%.
Ability to be on-call after hours, if needed, is required.

Essential Functions
- Creating and overseeing content and programming for workplace violence prevention, imminent threat response, and threat management efforts. This includes conducting behavioral threat assessments and developing mitigation plans.
- Identifies, assesses, and manages incidents of workplace violence.
- Provides solutions to highly complex problems having long range impact.
- Engages in challenging and sensitive issues requiring an understanding of human behavior and de-escalates volatile situations with empathy and compassion.
- Provides education, awareness, implementation, and incident response for area of responsibility. This includes writing comprehensive reports detailing investigative findings.
- Understanding behavioral threat assessment, recognizes warning signs of potential future violence and develops sound mitigation strategies.
- Provides leadership to business partners in fast paced, stressful situations.
- Works independently and have the ability to make rapid, sound decisions.
- Partners on development of threat management and workplace violence training
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This position will be in Memphis, Tennessee.
- Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs.

- Demonstrated ability to determine key threat management issues and develop appropriate action plans from a multidisciplinary perspective.
- Understanding of complex investigative processes
- Strong interview skills
- Knowledge of human behavior and mental health concerns
- Strong public speaking skills and the ability to provide educational information
- Current Member of Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) or willingness to become a member; Has or ability to obtain the ATAP Certified Threat Manager (CTM) within 18 months of employment
- Familiarity with structured professional judgement tools
