Where you’ll work…

Located in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley, Villa Palermo is a state-of-the industry manufacturing facility that adjoins our company headquarters.

Our high-tech pizza manufacturing operations include an on-site bakery to produce best-in-class crusts, robotic packaging equipment, and a 24-hour shipping and receiving facility.

When you’ll work…

The Food Scientist/Developer role works at the Canal Street location in the office each day and predominantly day shift hours with occasional nights/weekends to complete projects.

What you’ll do…

  • New Product Development: Conceptualizing, developing, and launching new food products.
  • Recipe Formulation: Creating and refining recipes to meet specific product requirements.
  • Market Research: Identifying consumer preferences and food trends.
  • Sensory Evaluation: Conducting taste tests and gathering sensory feedback to refine product quality.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of food science best practices to test materials, develop formulas improvements and/or new formulas, and prepare lab sheets.


Why you’ll be successful…

  • Proven ability to provide support to the organization in the areas of food technology, product design, food manufacturing, and food safety.
  • Utilizing knowledge from your Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Culinary and any experience with food manufacturing, major food companies or restaurant industry.
  • Organized and methodical approach to problem solving – often in a time-sensitive, tight-deadline situation where accuracy is critical.
  • Passionate lifelong learner with a strong interest in mastering new techniques in the culinary arts and food science.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills ready to work hard to ensure the whole Palermo’s team succeeds.
