About the position: As the Digital Pathology Laboratory Aide, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient digitization of microscope slides for archival purposes. This role involves operating digital slide scanners, printing slide labels, managing image files, and ensuring proper documentation and storage of digital assets in compliance with laboratory standards and data privacy regulations. Work is performed in accordance with standard laboratory practice under limited supervision.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and handle slides for digital scanning
  • Handle slides carefully to prevent damage or contamination
  • Operate slide scanning equipment and related software
  • Adjust scanner settings for optimal resolution, focus and color accuracy
  • Monitor scans for quality assurance
  • Upload and archive digital images to the LIS or digital archive
  • Provide support for image retrieval or re-scanning request
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on scanning equipment

You should have:

Education: High School Diploma required, Associate degree in computer science or photography preferred

Experience: Familiarity with digital imaging and file management

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, some MS Excel experience, Basic computer proficiency, including file handling and data entry

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, onsite at the main office in Little Rock, AR.
