Summary

Leads the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives, overseeing national and international markets while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing to identify growth opportunities. Builds and maintains strong customer relationships, directs sales and marketing operations, and ensures alignment between production and customer service to drive long-term market success.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.

  • Develops strategic sales and marketing objectives.
  • Develops all new proposal pricing for and is responsible for maximizing the firm’s market share while maintaining profit margins.
  • Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify new opportunities for the company.
  • Responsible for national and international sales.
  • Direct and maintain sales activities for the company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers on both a technical and commercial basis.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long term, to support the sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Direct the objectives and activities of manufacturing representatives.
  • Direct all marketing and marketing administration functions for the company including but not limited to coordination and participation at trade shows, all published material, and training of the sales representatives and sales engineers.
  • Direct the preparation and presentation of complete proposal packages.
  • Act as a liaison between production control and customer service to ensure the company is providing the most effective service possible.
  • Keep the employees informed of the current market status and the future outlook of the company.

Qualification Requirements

  • Education/Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university
    • 3-5 years related training and/or experience
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities with 3+ years of experience managing a department.
  • Language Skills
    • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
    • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • Ability to effectively present information to top management, employees, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Math Skills
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Skills
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Compensation And Benefits Offered

Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on their work location, qualifications, job related skills, relevant education, and training experience.

Base salary rate range Minimum $139000 - Maximum $167000.
