Position Summary:

Amkor Technology Arizona, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Director who will oversee key initiatives from start-up and ramp to sustainability. This position will partner with executives and operations to design and implement a robust talent acquisition strategy and solutions to meet the recruitment, hiring and onboarding needs of the new factory. They will also oversee and support the full life cycle of recruitment for various groups, levels for the Peoria, AZ site. This position will partner with other human resources functions to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness to ensure a positive employee experience.


  • Develop strategies to source and identify candidates that match to position requirements, competencies and the Amkor culture.
  • Develop systems and processes to ensure ongoing relationships with candidates to build a network of talent suitable for current and future opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a robust onboarding structure and process via Amkor systems; deliver new hire orientations.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding activities of Amkor Technology Arizona contractors, consultants and external auditors.
  • Engage with and hire external recruiting resources required to meet the hiring needs and timelines for the new factory.
  • Post and market open positions with Amkor's advertising partners and job boards.
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews.
  • Conduct pre-employment professional reference and background checks.
  • Demonstrate a strong internal customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement while establishing effective working relationships.
  • Own, drive, sponsor and participate in various recruitment projects, including assessment of best practices in talent acquisition techniques.
  • Support DE&I efforts in ensuring a diverse candidate pool and diverse hiring.
  • Effectively lead and manage a team of direct and indirect talent acquisition team members.
  • Ensure compliance to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies; participate in compliance activities as it relates to employment law (i.e.) EEO-1, ITAR, E-Verify.
  • Develop KPI's and effectively analyze and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of the talent acquisition strategies, processes and systems.


Qualifications:

  • Human Resources professional with a minimum of 10+ years' experience in progressively responsible HR leadership roles is required, preferably within the semiconductor manufacturing industry on a global scale. Advanced manufacturing start-up experience is necessary, preferably with proven success of scaling an organization to over 1,000 employees, supporting a multi-functional operation.
  • BA/BS degree is required, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Broad understanding of employment law, employee relations, compensation, organizational planning and development, and training.
  • Ability to effectively partner and collaborate with HR functions (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, HRBP, HRIS) to implement, scale and improve HR programs in the US and abroad.
  • Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels and establish collaborative working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, fast-growing, complex, geographically and culturally diverse organizational structure.
  • Capacity to seamlessly shift between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
  • Superior organizational skills, strong follow-through on commitments, sharp attention to details and exemplary communications and presentation skills.


Location:

This role will initially work in our Tempe, AZ, Global Headquarters location but will later transition to our new factory location in Peoria, AZ. This position will be onsite but will have flexibility for remote work on occasion.
