The Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Product Quality Engineer (PQE) to join the Quality team at Warren Truck Assembly Plant (WTAP) in Warren, Michigan. This position will be concentrated in the field of Mechanical Engineering and will be involved in working with various commodities within the entire vehicle architecture. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.
The PQE will report to the Product Quality Engineering Lead and will lead all quality systems/programs, provide technical expertise to hourly and manufacturing salary personnel at the WTAP facility and collaborate with Plant Manufacturing and Engineering operations, and champion Stellantis' Quality improvement efforts across all functional areas. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the fields of Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university (other Engineering degrees, in combination with relevant experience may be considered)
- Well-versed in Excel, PowerPoint and Google based programs
- Effective presentation/public speaking skills
- Experienced with problem solving tools
- Demonstrated ability to coach and teach others
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate details from executive level to plant staff level
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work off shift hours as necessary
- Self-motivated and directed
- Advanced Degree
- 3+ years of experience with automotive assembly, manufacturing
- Experience in design, testing and assembly
- Previous experience working in a union environment
- Background in Green or Black Belt Certification in reactive problem solving
- Previous applicable work experience
