Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. - Inspire and mentor students through daily, meaningful interactions—eschewing lectures in favor of impactful peer-level coaching
- Utilize adaptive learning technologies and AI to tailor the learning experience to each student’s pace
- Conduct small-group sessions centered on life skills, leadership, and real-world success tactics
- Assist students in uncovering their strengths and broadening their aspirations through personalized growth strategies
- Drive innovation in Alpha’s educational model by contributing insights, data, and bold new ideas
- Delivering pre-written lectures, grading assignments, or managing a traditional classroom environment
- Functioning as a tutor, childcare provider, or homework assistant—this role is not about remedial support
- Operating within a rigid system with limited scope for creativity and initiative
- Disregarding technology—our approach integrates top-tier tools to enhance growth, not replace it

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Proven track record of high achievement (such as academic accolades, D1/Olympic sports, national contests, etc.)
- Experience working directly with K–8 students in mentoring, coaching, or teaching roles
- Exceptional communication and public speaking abilities
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Open to working on-site at our Santa Barbara, CA, New York City, NY, or Miami, FL locations
