MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Improvement Process/Data Management

Quality Analyst will complete all tasks outlined below for their assigned regions:

  • Coordinate process improvement task forces and assist the Quality Improvement Supervisor in management of process improvement projects.
  • Collect and analyze data for quality measurements at Caron.
  • Manage and/or conduct measurements related to patient care improvement and medical record documentation improvements. (Example: Open Chart Reviews, Closed Chart Reviews, Patient Satisfaction.)
  • Complete timely and accurate quality reports, rending grids and graphical displays when requested.
  • Ensure all data collected is reliable, valid, complete, accurate and useful.
  • Coordinate and conduct benchmarking measurement including collaborating on national benchmarking with other addiction treatment facilities on a regular basis.
  • Meet with department and clinical directors quarterly to ensure performance indicators, measures and outcomes are being completed as required and to provide measure results to directors.
  • Document and communicate quality trends and issues to the Quality Improvement Supervisor.
  • Investigate and respond to all grievances submitted to the Quality Department.
  • Conduct medical record chart reviews for significant incidents or as requested by the Quality Improvement Supervisor.
  • Assist in conducting “Lessons Learned” for significant incidents or process issues.
  • Effectively track and monitor data for outcomes measurements.
  • Conduct process improvement evaluations for departments and clinical units at the Wernersville campus.

Policy & Procedure Management

Quality Analyst will assist in the management and oversight of the Policy Management System for his/her assigned region including:

  • Assisting Clinical Services, Medical Services and Nursing Services with the creation or revision of policies and procedures including providing guidance on appropriate CARF standard references.
  • Ensuring all departments complete their annual review of all policies.
  • Ensuring department directors follow Caron’s standardized process for new policy creation.
  • Providing assistance to policy department owners and general users when requested including contacting the policy management system vendor for assistance when needed.

Education, Experience And Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 years’ experience in quality improvement preferred.
  • Experience in the collection and analyzation of data required.
  • If in recovery, 1 year current and continuous sobriety preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to operate autonomously and deal with extremely confidential information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
  • Must possess the ability to follow directions well and make independent sound decisions when necessary.
  • Organizational skills, self-motivated.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrate versatility and flexibility in a busy environment.
