This isn’t your average job posting... because we’re not your average company.
We’re not looking for someone to just enforce rules. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to lead a company when it comes to safety. This is a strategic role with sleeves rolled up. You’ll shape how safety lives at every level of the organization, not by managing a team, but by setting the tone, building the systems, and driving a culture where safety is second nature.
You’ll be trusted to do more than identify risks. We want a builder, someone who brings smart, creative solutions that stick. You’ll be just as comfortable in a strategy session as you are on a jobsite. Our people don’t need a hall monitor; they need a partner, a mentor, and a champion who leads by example.
What Makes This Role Different?
We're not just filling a seat. We're offering a mission:
Create a workplace where every person feels protected, informed, and valued, and help that mindset grow as we do.
The Right Person For This Role Is
We’re a 100% employee-owned company, and we take that seriously. When you join us, you become one of over 500 co-owners committed to building something that lasts. Our average employee tenure is over 10 years, and that’s not an accident.
We invest in our people, and that includes creating a safety culture that doesn’t just meet standards — it sets them.
Benefits That Back You Up
Two Core Beliefs Drive Everything We Do
You’ll be based at our Sanford, FL, corporate office and support all 11 branches across Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Travel is expected (~50%), but your influence will be felt in every branch, every project, and every decision that touches safety.

The Right Person For This Role Is
- A strategic thinker with the drive to execute.
- A hands-on leader who shows up in the field.
- A creative problem solver who moves quickly from identifying challenges to delivering solutions.
- Comfortable being the face and voice of safety — whether presenting to executives, coaching a foreman, or writing a new SOP.
- Invested in people, not just programs.
Benefits That Back You Up
- Own a Piece of the Pie: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
- Plan for the Future: 401(k) with company match
- Stay Covered: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance
- Protect Your Income: Short-term and long-term disability
- Stay Flexible: Pre-tax flexible spending accounts
- Take Time When You Need It: Generous PTO package
- Get Rewarded for Staying Healthy: Wellness Rewards program
Two Core Beliefs Drive Everything We Do
- Entrusted and Empowered — Not Entitled Everyone here owns part of this company, literally and figuratively. That means we don’t wait to be told what to do. We lead. We act. We care.
- People Over Process Compliance matters, but connection matters more. Our people-first mindset means you’re not a badge number, you’re a part of the family. And the family looks out for each other.
You’ll be based at our Sanford, FL, corporate office and support all 11 branches across Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Travel is expected (~50%), but your influence will be felt in every branch, every project, and every decision that touches safety.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Safety Function: Be the voice of safety company-wide. Set vision, direction, and expectations.
- Create & Innovate: Design, test, and implement creative solutions that make safety second nature.
- Build Systems: Standardize and improve safety practices, protocols, and training across all departments.
- Train & Educate: Develop and deliver tailored training programs that stick.
- Be Present: Conduct jobsite audits and be a visible presence in the field and the office.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with leadership, foremen, insurance partners, and vendors.
- Drive Compliance & Culture: Balance regulatory requirements with human connection and trust.
- Support Claims & Prevention: Assist in managing workers' comp and auto liability with an eye on prevention.
- Improve Continuously: Collect feedback, track outcomes, and iterate.
- Stay Sharp: Keep up with safety trends, certifications, and learning opportunities.
- Support Broader HR Initiatives: Assist the HR Director with wellness and related people-focused programs.
Required
- 2–5 years of relevant safety leadership or corporate training experience
- OSHA 500 & 501 certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication, training, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel frequently and work independently
- Bachelor’s in Safety, HR, or related field
- Construction industry experience
- Experience with multi-site safety programs
- CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor certification
- Fall Protection Trainer certification
