Summary

Assist the IT Manager with system upgrades, resolve user queries, and

optimize our technology infrastructure to align with business goals.

This role will troubleshoot issues, provide technical expertise to

ensure all operations run smoothly, and will help drive efficiency and

innovation while safeguarding our digital assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, VOIP

phones system, and network administration.

  • Troubleshooting IT issues, resolving system outages, and providing

technical support.

  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring optimal uptime for all IT

resources.

  • IT security protocols to protect systems from potential threats and

vulnerabilities.

  • Managing inventory for IT equipment and recommending necessary

upgrades or replacements.

  • Documenting IT policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for

internal use.

  • Conducting periodic system analysis and audits to ensure compliance

with organizational IT standards.

  • Collaborating with other departments to understand technology

requirements and integrate new technologies.

  • Manage user accounts/email configurations, permissions, and access

controls within IT systems.

  • Create/modify Active Directory Group Policies as required.
  • Monitor Windows Server/Exchange Server for issues and improvements.
  • Create/Modify network VLANs and ACLs for network security.
  • Review and monitor SAN performance for virtualized environment.
  • Utilize VMware Vsphere for system performance, creation of new VMs

for server/desktop-based environments and troubleshooting for

issues.

  • Daily review of system wide backups and restoring files as required.
  • Respond to technical support tickets from employees or departments

facing technical difficulties.

  • Conduct training and guidance sessions on tools, IT security

practices, and system usage.

  • Run new data cabling and terminate as required.
  • Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and 1

year of demonstrable experience as an IT specialist or in technical

support, system analysis, network administration, or a related role

  • or 3+ years of demonstrable experience as an IT specialist or in

technical support, system analysis, network administration, or a

related role.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs

Moderate working knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop, Active

Directory/Group Policys, Microsoft Powershell and network technologies.

Moderate working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server and

administration, email filters

Working knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Linux).

Knowledge of Network Technologies to include LAN Concepts, VLANs,

switching, oint-to-Point, wireless systems, ACL, firewalls, SAN, iSCSI.

Backup systems (Backup Exec)

Moderate verbal communication skills

Moderate written communication skills

Skill in customer service with the ability to identify customer

concerns, and refer to the appropriate staff, as necessary, to ensure a

satisfactory resolution
