Job Description

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Site's Cold War legacy. Responsiblities

Learning Center of Excellence is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detailed-oriented individual to provide comprehensive support of day-to-day activities of the organization to assure operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various complex administrative, clerical, and/or operations support duties and responsibilities with broad scope for the Learning Center of Excellence.
  • Interface with outside agencies including planning, operations support, and development of analysis for after action/lessons learned documentation and implementation as requested.
  • Review incoming communications, work orders, and service requests for subject matter content and routes them to appropriate supervisor's attention.
  • Compose routine correspondence in response to requests for department services, answers inquiries from other departments, area offices, or outside entities.
  • Monitor all follow-up actions required by supervisor/manager.
  • Organize material for meetings, presentations, and training sessions. May operate a variety of audiovisual equipment in the presentation of programs, orientation, and conferences.
  • May assist in personnel activities, such as recruitment, policy administration, compensation administration, or employee development.
  • Assist in cross-training other personnel in specific administrative, clerical, or operational skills, techniques, and procedures.
  • May assist with operational planning formulation and presentation material preparation.
  • Support learning lab
  • Be responsible for:
  • Make classroom reservation for customers
  • Complete classroom bulletin
  • Make reproduction requests
  • Order supplies
  • Ship and track equipment sent out to customers
  • Enter FRM-2321s in ATOM
  • Serve as the STR for the LXE
  • Perform LMS data entry
  • Serve as LXE Manager's Tier II administrator
  • Request maintenance support work areas and classrooms

Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Able to use personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, calculators, and other general office equipment.
  • Able to follow oral and written instruction and follow through on all assignments.
  • Able to apply knowledge of a broad range of specialized functions and assist in coordinating activities with those of other work groups.
  • Able to demonstrate creativity in how work is performed and in addressing work processes.
  • Able to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines.
  • Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
  • Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road Facility (North Las Vegas).
  • Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday.
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ' Identity, Credential, and Access Management ,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ' Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors .'

Hourly range for this position is: $24.22 - $36.33.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
