We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist Sr. to support advanced design and drafting efforts for military ground vehicle programs. Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end electrical and mechanical design for electronic/electrical systems and components.
- Design and document wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and associated LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) components.
- Create and interpret schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and 3D harness models using Creo Pro-Cabling.
- Select appropriate electrical components such as connectors, terminal lugs, shielding, and accessories.
- Support chassis and housing layout and packaging of overall systems.
- Ensure all drawings are aligned with MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and GD&T standards.
- Generate design documentation for submission to internal teams, customers, and external vendors.
- Work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment with strong collaboration and communication across disciplines.
- 5+ years of Creo design experience, with at least 2 years using Creo Pro-Cabling.
- Experience designing and routing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with military ground vehicle electrical/electronic systems.
- Understanding of MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with Siemens Capital Harness or Logical Data tools for wire routing.
- Ability to create wiring schematics using Visio Technical.
- Knowledge of military electrical connectors and cable specs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
- Associate degree in a relevant technical field plus 9 years of experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical engineering tools is highly desired.
