The CRC Accounting Department is seeking to fill a Senior Accountant position to support our North operations. This position is located in Bakersfield, CA.

The base annual salary for this posted position is expected to range from $95k - $115K, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Match, Paid Holidays, FSA, HSA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive working knowledge of Oil and Gas accounting
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain production and revenue software for accuracy and completeness
  • Allocate production and sales volumes
  • Record revenue for financial reporting and payments to royalty owners
  • Variance and trend analysis on production volumes and revenue sales with explanations of exceptions
  • Prepare A/R reconciliations and (G/L) account reconciliations for assigned areas and research outstanding balances
  • Prepare general ledger (G/L) entries
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Demonstrate proactive attitude, taking initiative, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to transform large sets of financial data into actionable information for decision making
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, interact effectively in a team environment, along with willingness to adapt to change
