This is professional and skilled work involving the strategic planning, creation, distribution, and management of digital content across web and social media platforms to support public information, public relations, marketing, and community engagement efforts for all jurisdictions under the Mobile County Commission.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Attainment of a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or closely related field; field-specific credentials such as Accreditation in Public Relations, Digital Marketing Professional and/or certifications (e.g. – Google, Hubspot, Hootsuite, Facebook) preferred; and a minimum of five years' responsible experience in strategic digital communication (strategic content planning, content creation, scheduling, monitoring, analytics, community management), public relations, communications or governmental affairs, preferably in local, state, or federal government; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

Special Requirement

Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence; occasional after-hours or weekend availability required.
