About DTMB:
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About This Position
This position is a program Specialist, whose primary function is the sole State-wide Lease Compliance Officer for more than 4 million square feet of leased space. The Specialist will hold Lessors accountable to their lease obligations within the Lease contracts by investigating, analyzing, documenting, and monitoring remediation of issues until fully addressed. This position will also assist in site evaluation throughout the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and follow-up oversight during the construction phase for leased space to monitor renovations to the space are compliant to State of Michigan build-out standards as specified within the lease.

Position Location:
This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Required Education And Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Additional Requirements And Information
Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certain positions may be assigned subclass codes and individuals appointed must possess the required specialized experience.
