Description

Responsibilities of a Construction Assistant Project Manager are:

  • Support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects
  • Assist in managing project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance
  • Communicate regularly with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate project delivery
  • Participate in onsite walkthroughs and coordination meetings
  • Help ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Contribute to problem-solving, issue resolution, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle

Profile

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial construction experience and a strong foundation in project documentation and coordination. They are organized, proactive, and eager to take on more responsibility as they grow into a full Project Manager role. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a working knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.
