As the Staffing Coordinator, you will manage nursing schedules and staffing needs for our skilled nursing facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with staffing regulations while helping our clinical teams provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain nursing department schedules (minimum 4 weeks in advance)
- Ensure adequate shift coverage while coordinating staff PTO, holidays, and absences
- Track and verify employee time, attendance, and payroll accuracy
- Keep personnel and schedule records up to date
- Assist with onboarding and scheduling for new nursing staff
- Respond to scheduling concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Support education and training schedules
- Fill in for clinical duties (within scope of practice) as needed
- Remain on-call after hours to address urgent scheduling needs
- Help coordinate resident appointments when required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Medication Technician (CMT) - Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in long-term or skilled nursing care
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with scheduling or payroll software preferred
